Windows XP Still the World's Most Popular Operating Systems

Computer & Game Portal
The most popular operating system in the world was still held by Windows XP. From the data presented by web analytics company Net Applications, Windows XP controls 42.86 percent market share in July 2012.

This is just fantastic. Given this operating system has been outstanding for more than more than 10 years and is still the main choice for computer users around the world. In the meantime, Windows 7 is in second place with 42.21 percent of the presentation.

That number has increased dramatically over the past year. In July 2011, Windows 7 has a share of 29.6 market share, while the percentage Windws XP dominates with 52 percent. Although still dominant, Microsoft plans to not support XP on track April 2014.

Meanwhile, Apple's operating system, Mac OS X only get the portion of 7 percent. The number is certainly much when compared to Microsoft's OS. However, compared to last year, that number has increased, because in the last year the percentage of users Mc OS X is less than 6 percent.
