Since introducing its first logo used in 1975 and 1979, Microsoft has changed
the emblem company five times. Even the last one, just done a refresher after 25
years.
Unlike the four previous logo which only carries the name of the company, the new logo is also juxtaposed 'window box' more assertive. In one window there are four different colors, namely red, green, blue and yellow.
According to Brand Strategy Manager Microsoft Jeferry Meisner, this logo inspired by some of the latest products that will be massively introduced in the near future. Because each color represents the latest product to be launched.
As quoted from Joystiq, Friday (08/24/2012), for the red color represents the Office product, blue for Windows 8 and green illustrates the Xbox game console. How about yellow? Still a mystery, maybe there is something to offer.
The new logo also includes changes to the font that is written in Microsoft word using Segoe font. In the letter 'f' and 't' in Microsoft word endings are also connected with a line.
"Symbols are important in the world of digital motion. Colors in the box is intended to express the company's diverse product portfolio," said Meisner.
